Hot summer 2026: what the July records show
In July several stations reported the highest daily value they have ever measured. A look at the alerts of the month.
At several locations July 2026 triggered the alert “Station heat record”. It mostly affected stations whose measurement series reach back far enough to allow a meaningful comparison.
The analysis also shows that it is not only the peak values that have risen, but above all the number of warm nights. The charts of the individual stations make this development visible.
